Signals at (Lincoln) West Holmes

West Holmes is where the line from Boultham Jct joins that from Gainsborough and Pyewipe Jct. Some goods lines then diverge, rejoining the main lines at East Holmes.

A DMU to Doncaster approaches from East Holmes, passing an unusual signal with a wooden stage erected on a concrete post. To the left are the goods lines, with the superb lattice-posted exit bracket, whilst lines to the ex-GC West Yard diverge to the right. East Holmes' up main home, with High Street's outer distant beneath, can also be seen in the distance.

This ex-GNR somersault signal controlled the exit from an up goods loop from Pyewipe Jct.
