At last I managed to catch up with Mostly Autumn again in Bilston - and was not disappointed...

Last time I'd seen Olivia Sparnenn was at a Breathing Space gig here in January 2008, before she joined Mostly Autumn.

Great to see Bryan Josh in action again...

...and Iain Jennings, of course.

Hannah Hird (right) has joined the band on vocals and keyboards for this year's tours...

...along with Alex Cromarty on drums. (Anne-Marie Helder and Gavin Griffiths remain band members, but had other commitments which clashed with some of this year's MA dates.)

The band were really tight, playing with their usual precision and poise so you can easily hear all the instruments but without sacrificing any passion.

They finished with a brace of Yuletide covers, with Liam singing the lead and Roger Newport (left of Hannah) taking over the second guitar on Merry Xmas Everybody...

...culminating in a rousing performance of I wish it could be Christmas every day.
