Combines the influences of Asia, West Africa,
Eastern Europe, Middle East and the Celtic Nations with
contemporary dance formats (drum'n'bass, techno, trip
hop, dub).
Virtuouso playing features throughout the album, including Nigel Kennedy (acoustic and electric violin) and Kadir Durvesh (shenai, tabla and dholak).
Ancient instruments are interwoven with technology to produce some of the most unique, innovative and exciting dance music that is perfect for the new millennium as well as today's scene.
Shenai and Tabla are played alongside samplers and sequencers; traditional African and Asian rhythms are fused with dance beats of the twentieth century; lyrics and volcals combine Indo-Arabic phonetics and the Celtic 'Sean-nos' technique with rap and more conventional Western vocals.
Guest artists appearing on the CD are:
... and very special guest Nigel Kennedy (acoustic and electric violin).
millennium time bomb is a tribute to the unbroken line of power and spirit that exists in dance music of all cultures.
