Our box visit didn't include East Holmes, but we walked nearby it and here
is a photo of the signalbox and its up starter, with
High Street's distant beneath.
|
East Holmes' down home, with a route indicator to direct trains onto the main or goods line.
Underneath it is
West Holmes' outer distant.

The approach from
West Holmes,
with the up main home in the foreground and the up loop home on the left.
Work on renewing the goods lines, since upgraded to be the main passenger lines,
had already begun.
|
The up loop home, and a disc for setting back from the down loop.

 |
A train approaches the down home. Note the theatre route indicator in the
earlier photo had been replaced at some point by this pair of stencils.

The signalbox.
